Les paul XR models were available from 1981 till 1982 with a range of 3 models :
- Les Paul XR-I with dirty fingers pickups
- Les Paul XR-II with mini humbuckers
- Les Paul XR-III with Tim Shaw pickups
All with ebony fretboard, dot markers, unbound neck, no pickguard.
The Les paul XR-II has a bound slab body which was available in sunburst or natural. It is equipped with two mini humbuckers same as the Les Paul Deluxe and is factory equipped with a mini switch which will allow you to split pickups.
This guitar is in fact a mix of the Les Paul deluxe and Les Paul Studio which will be available in 1983 when the XR range will be discontinued.
Produced in the Nashville Plant on October 14th, 1981.

This guitar is in crazy original conditions. Comes with original Gibson chainsaw case, Chainsaw tag, warranty tag and invoice when second owner bought it.
