Introduced by Martin in 1930 together with the OM, the 000-18 is prized for its booming projection and high quality tone.
Played by so many artists such as Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp, Ry Cooder
This one from 1971 is really a player which has also received top and side overspray, few repairs like buttons filled up on side from a previous electrical configuration. Structure is good and stable.
But when a guitar is a player it is really for a good reason : it plays great!!
It has everything you would expect from a 000-18. Sonically open, yet balanced with a dry, haunting woody tone.
Back and sides : Mahogany
Top : Spruce
Tuners : original Grover
Serial : 286171
Case : recent unbranded case
