From the late 1960s through the mid-1970s, most Telecaster guitars were typically produced in the classic blonde finish, making custom colors from this period significantly less common and increasingly sought after by collectors and players alike.

The instrument presented here stands out as a particularly rare example, finished in a beautiful sunburst and featuring a maple fingerboard. The overall aesthetic is striking, with a finish that has aged gracefully over time, developing a natural patina that reflects both its authenticity and careful preservation.

This guitar is fully original. All components appear consistent with the period, contributing to its integrity as a vintage piece.

It has the pearloid pickguard typical of the years 68/69.

The electronic further support its originality. The potentiometers are dated 1966, which is entirely in line with Fender’s manufacturing practices of the era, as the company was known to stockpile parts and use them over several years—sometimes up until 1972. This detail reinforces the authenticity of the instrument rather than detracting from it.

In terms of playability and feel, the guitar is notably lightweight at just 3.35 kg, making it comfortable to handle while also enhancing its acoustic resonance. It has a lively, responsive character that translates beautifully when amplified, offering the clarity and bite that Telecasters from this period are known for.

The guitar comes with its original Fender case.
