Here you are, Gretsch enthusiasts!

We are pleased to present this beautiful September 1967 Gretsch Country Gentleman, one of the most iconic hollow-body electric guitars ever produced.

As is widely known among Gretsch collectors, binding deterioration is an inherent and extremely common issue on vintage Gretsch guitars from this era. In fact, nearly all original examples have either already suffered from binding decay or will inevitably do so over time. Finding a 1960s Country Gentleman with completely intact original binding is exceptionally rare—almost impossible.

For this reason, the entire body binding on this instrument has been professionally replaced. This should be seen as a real advantage rather than a drawback: the guitar is now free from the structural weaknesses that affect the vast majority of comparable models. The work has been carried out to a high standard, leaving the instrument in excellent cosmetic and structural condition, and ensuring long-term stability with no risk of future binding issues.

In addition, the guitar has benefited from a professional refret. This greatly enhances playability, offering smooth, accurate fretting across the entire neck while preserving the authentic feel of the instrument. It is now perfectly suited for both collectors and players who expect vintage character without compromising performance.

The guitar is fitted with the iconic Filter'Tron pickups, delivering the classic warm yet articulate tone that defines the Gretsch sound.

It also features a Bigsby vibrato and the original string mute system. The mute functions perfectly, with the foam having been replaced for optimal performance.

This legendary model has been played by some of the most influential artists in music history, including Chet Atkins, George Harrison, Lou Reed, Elvis Presley, Johnny Marr, Roy Orbison, Hank Marvin, David Crosby, Roger McGuinn, and Tony Hicks, among others.
