The Fender Super Reverb was introduced in 1963, during a period of peak innovation at Fender under Leo Fender's leadership. It represents an evolution of the earlier Fender Super amps, with the added feature of a built-in reverb effect. Designed to be more powerful and versatile than its predecessors, the Super Reverb was ideal for larger venues and louder performances.

It features four 10-inch speakers (compared to the two speakers in the original Super amp) and delivers about 40 watts of output, providing a perfect balance of power and clarity. The amp is renowned for offering clean headroom at high volumes, a crucial feature for many gigging guitarists.

The Super Reverb utilizes the AB763 circuit, which became famous for its smooth, warm tone. It also features tube-driven reverb and tremolo, further enhancing its sonic versatility.

Many renowned guitarists from the 1960s onward have used the Fender Super Reverb "Blackface" amp, cementing its legendary status. Notable users include Stevie Ray Vaughan, Mike Bloomfield, and Johnny Marr, among others.

This particular unit is in exceptionally clean condition, with the only modification being a replacement of the reverb tank. It would be hard to find another in such pristine shape.
