Nothing quite compares to the tone of a '60s Gibson ES-335, and this 1964 ES-335 is a fantastic example of a 'Clapton Spec' ES-335.
What we have is the holy grail of the early mid sixties ones. Factory stop tail bridge, cherry color, patent pickups same as the one bought new by Eric Clapton and played live and in the studios until 2000.
The original Cherry finish is in very good condition with plenty of patina and little checking (a bit of buckle rash on the back).
Guitar is all original and has no repair. It is marked as "factory second" (a "2" stamped on back of headstock close to serial number). "Factory second" means the instrument had some cosmetic flaw (but no structural default otherwise it would have been marked BGN for bargain).
After all those years we have not been able to find the "cosmetical" default on this one.
It is equipped with original patent number pickups.
This one plays like a dream and comes with original Gibson case
