This is an original pre-CBS Fender Deluxe Amp from 1964, featuring the rare “no logo” design.
The Black Panel Fender Deluxe, manufactured from 1964 to 1967, was essentially a more powerful Princeton with a 12" speaker driven by 20 watts of power. This makes it a true workhorse, with its value steadily increasing over time. It also boasts the excellent tremolo typical of pre-CBS amps.
This particular amp is a “one-owner” piece, originally purchased new in Valenciennes, France by Edmond, a French musician of Polish descent. He used it to perform Polish folk music, playing either a guitar or mandolin through the Deluxe until the early 1980s. After that, the amp was stored away in a closet until we recently acquired it.
The amp has been fully serviced and is ready to rock for the next decade.
