EKO 500/4 V Guitar (1962) + EKOsonic Amp (1962) – Exceptional Condition
1962 EKO 500/4 V guitar in Sparkle White finish, 4-pickup model with vibrato, hence the name “/4” (4 pickups) and “V” (vibrato).
The EKO instrument brand was founded in 1959 in Recanati, Italy, by Oliviero Pigini. It quickly became one of the emblematic European manufacturers of the 1960s. Known for its designs, original finishes, and multiple pickup configurations, the brand exported widely to Europe and the United States, sometimes under other names such as Vox.
This instrument has had a single owner since it was purchased new in September 1962 in Charleroi (invoice copy included).
It was played in a band from 1962 until around 1975, then stored and rarely used.
