This set we have here is a crazy unique found!!

It is a one owner all original 1960 ES175D originally bought in Nice France which comes with original invoice, original custom letter, case candies (hangtags, humbucker paper, sonomatic tag, string packs, picks).

The ES175D is equipped with untouched patent number pickups which was a later 60s replacement. We have the Feb 1965 invoice when pickups were changed at Paul Beuscher shop in Paris France!!

The Gibson ES-175 is a hollow body Jazz electric guitar manufactured from 1949 till 2019. The first ES-175s were released with a sunburst finish and a retail price of $175.

Equipped with one P90 pickup (ES175) it was available with two P90 (1953-57) and then humbuckers starting in 1958 (one or two).

Played by many artists such as John Fruciante, The Edge, Philip Catherine , Andy Summers, Steve Howe, BB King, Mick Jones, John Fogerty, Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, Kenny Burrel, Jim Hall, Herb Ellis... just to name a few.

Emile Barani was the original and unique owner who bought this guitar at "Tout pour la Musique" (all for music) in Nice France on June 20th 1961. The shop still exists today.

He was a jazz guitarist who played in Claude Besset big band (picture attached), but also with Jean Tosan (Sax player who played with Johnny Hallyday), Jacques Helian, Sacha Distel... just to name a few.

This ES175D was shipped  Dec 12th 1960 (as you can see on the Gibson shipping ledger. It was sold for export as it has the small "made in the USA" stamp (as opposed to the much later "Made in USA" phrase).

One of only 345 produced in 1960.

It is in crazy great all original condition with almost no marks. Tuners are replacements as original ones (which are available) had broken or very fragile buttons.
