Gibson did produced string displays during the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and then 70s.
This one is then the last one produced as a real counter display.
It looks like a shoe box made of wood with Gibson Norlin logo which includes the flower (Gibson was owned by Norlin Corporation from 1969 to 1986)
When opening the box, you will find all the string packs classified by gauge.
Most of the time those displays were opened on shop's counters.
